The official launch was held on Sunday 19 June 2016 at the Yokine Bowling Club. Among the attendees at the event were the Consul of Greece Mr Antonios Koliadis and the Minister for Veterans Joe Francis, along with Michael Sutherland MLA Speaker of Legislative Assembly, Member for Mt Lawley, Peter Katsambanis MLC, North Metropolitan Region, Eleni Evangel MLA, Member for Perth, Janine Freeman MLA Member for Mirrabooka(representing the Leader of Opposition), the late Dennis Connelly Vice President WA RSL and Marilyn Sadleir (daughter of the late Geoff Edwards – 2/11th soldier who escaped Crete and donor of land where Prevelly stands in the south west of Western Australia).
A film evening showing ‘The 11th Day” was held 7 June 2017.
